I can't bring up any desktop backgrounds?

I went into my control panel to display properties and clicked on desktop. I was not able to bring up any desktop backgrounds such as autumn. How can I restore these different desktop backgrounds? I am at a loss and would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks|||I have the same issue. You might want to try a windows restore. That might help. I'm thinking it could be a virus
