So I have a couple of MB of desktop backgrounds that my computer changes every 10 seconds. Is it possible to load these into RAM at computer startup so the hard drive isn't constantly in use?
Or maybe after 20 minutes of inactivity disable the cycle or something?|||I wouldn't worry about it to be honest. It's not very much load on the hard drive so shouldn't slow down your computer by any noticeable amount. If you wanted to do this for performance reasons, my suggestion would be to delay the cycling to 30 seconds or a minute. Once it is showing the wallpaper then it is loaded into RAM already, the only time it may read the hard drive is when loading the next one.|||You can't write them to RAM without knowledge of writing a program in machine language
