Is there a way to create computer desktop backgrounds?

Is there a program you can downlaod or a website you can go to so you can create desktop backgrounds with pictures? I mean like making a collage for bands or something like that.|||GIMP for windows

http://www.gimp.org/windows/

You could use it to create a desktop image, and then paste the images you want in the collage as different layers and then move them round to exactly where you want them.

Then save the image as JPG (add the .jpg extension to it in GIMP or else it will save as .XCF format) and just right click image whereever you put it and set as desktop.

Also if you want multiple size images for different desktop sizes e.g. 1920x1080, 1024x968 and 800x600 create the image as 1920x1080 size first (or whatever is the largest size you want to create), save that as something like myimage-fullhd.jpg and then resize down.

It's always better to resize down than resize up.|||Yes, there are literally 1000's but you have one that comes with your computer.

CLICK START and RUN (Vista and 7 users need only click start) and type in MSPAINT and hit enter. The Windows Paint program will open. Now you can open multiple ones. This is important for making collages.

You can use Paint to open the pictures (one at a time) and then copying them and pasting them into a second Paint program (your collage). I do this all the time.

When you are done, you can save the collage as a JPG and then you can use it as a Desktop Wallpaper.

For an Online solution, try Gimp. I hear this site http://www.gimp.org is supposed to let you use their online editor for free. And I hear it's comparable to Paint Shop Pro.|||Make a collage in your pictures folder or " Right Click " on a picture, a window will open, and you will see " set as desktop background " left click on it and it is your new background picture on your desktop...you can do that whenever you want a change...|||you can actually use the paint program and save the immage as your background. paint is pretty simple and comes built in to most computers. just copy/paste the immages you want to put together and go to file. save as and save as background.|||All you have to do is make the image you want to use as your background and then pick the image you created as the background image. You should be able to search for the image you want to use.

Hope this helps :)
