Is it illegal to use windows vista desktop backgrounds as my website background?

I am planning on using windows vista desktop backgrounds as my website background. You know like somepeople have blue website backgrounds. Like this site uses black as a background:

Is it illegal to publish my site with this desktop background as a background?

Thanks. I hope it isn't.|||The short answer is no.

The more legal answer is unless you are planning to use the wallpaper for commercial purposes or proclaim it as your own work, then you might have a problem. Otherwise, if it's just a personal website they won't do anything.

The key thing to remember is PROFIT. If you don't plan to profit from your website, then don't worry about it.|||no Its perfectly legal only if you dontt show the vist logo|||If this wallpaper has been posted for FREE using, you can use it without any problem about "Vista's illegal" ;)|||Legally images/graphics are copyright to the creator/owner unless they specifically give rights to use them. Therefore you do need permission. There are many websites out there that have public domain graphics available - so I'd suggest you use one of these. I personally use this one: http://www.sxc.hu/
